Job Heavy Lift Specialist for Bertling in China

Bertling Logistics in China (Beijing) is looking for an outstanding individual to fill for position:

Heavy Lift Specialist

The successful applicant will have/be:

1. collegial education preferred
2. substantial experience in on-site cargo operations, preferably fry break bulk cargoes, being either onboard sea-going vessels or at port terminals
3. abilities to develop and maintain good relationships with relevant parties familiar with MS office applications like word, excel, etc
4. excellent Chinese and proficient English written and oral communication skills
5. team player with a sense of urgency, and commitment to success
6. ability to work in a matrix environment under pressure and aggressive schedules
7. expertise and experience in one of the following fields are highly desirable:
   - port captain with major heavylift carriers
   - independent loading surveyor organizations

The successful applicant will be involved with:

• coordinating the chartering operations with internal chartering teams
• negotiating with various parties involved in loadings of heavy lift and OOG cargoes, which include but are not limited to the shipper representatives, the consignee representatives, the port authorities, stevedoring services, the tally services, the loading vessel, etc
• drafting and/or reviewing stowage plans and loading drawings of heavy lift/OOG cargoes
• supervising the loading and/or discharging of heavy lift and OOG cargoes at Chinese and international ports
• coordinating various parties involved in loadings of heavy lift/OOG cargoes to ensure smooth cargo loading operations
• taking on operational work when needed or required
